DON GIOVANNI by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

Mozart’s Don Giovanni was inspired by the legend of Don Juan. Aided by his servant Leporello, Don Giovanni grows increasingly reckless.  When he attacks Donna Anna and accidentally kills her father, she swears vengeance. Together with her betrothed Don Ottavio and Donna Elvira, Don Giovanni’s neglected lover, she pursues him relentlessly until the Don eventually begins to fail in his schemes.

CARMEN by Georges Bizet

When the gypsy Carmen seduces Don José, he deserts from the army and abandons his fiancée Micaela. There is no going back, but his new life is not easy and the bullfighter Escamillo is a dangerous rival for Carmen’s love. The result is a hot-blooded tragedy played with intense passion to Bizet’s famous score. Introducing French Mezzo Soprano Catherine Lafont as Carmen with Adam Gilbert as Don José and Kyu Choi as Escamillo.
